Transforming a Grade-II listed Regency townhouse for modern living

Cobourg Road is a grade-II listed Regency townhouse in South-East London overlooking a lake to the west, and backing on to a large private garden to the east with densely wooded public park beyond.

IF_DO have designed a creative and sensitive proposal to transform a family’s period townhouse from a space unable to cope with the needs of growing family life to a space transformed for the needs of 21st Century living. A thoughtful approach preserves regency majesty but offers a journey through to contemporary light and space and the nature beyond. Elements include a new side entrance leading to a blackened steel clad single storey rear extension at lower ground floor level as well as internal alterations proposed with carefully selected high quality materials and finishes.
